¡Adiós, Europa!

As we sit and wait in CDG airport in Paris, we have our final trip post! Some reflections:

1. We packed ideally for all the different weather and places, and are fortunate and glad to have done so. Going again, we'd do it pretty much identically.
2. Cosmos Tours: Overall good, we'd go with them again though not for as long (18 days). A bit whirlwind-y, but we saw a lot and had to make very few decisions = good.
3. Adding days before and after the tour on our own = ideal and much-needed. We are so glad we did this because it gave us time to be at our own pace and do (or not, if we felt lazy) whatever we wanted. Without it, especially at the end, it would have been a bit exhausting and felt very fast.
4. Time frame: A month was a long time to be away from home, but also a great amount to really experience cultural aspects and get used to things. We probably won't be gone this long again on a trip/vacation, but for right now w/o kids or other strings tying us down, it was perfect.

Overall, our European excursion went exactly as we had hoped and expected. Yay!!!

Next up are IL in September, IA in October, CO in November, and HI in December. Stay tuned... Buen viaje!!
