The cruise was fun: about an hour and a half, 4-5 (modest) glasses of champagne each, plus a great view despite the rain and general cloudiness. There were a few other couples, plus a group of sisters, and we were all in a private room at the front of the boat - nice!! Afterwards we went down Rue de Suffren and had (a very expensive...oops!) dinner at a cafe there: bottle of champagne (had to keep the party goin'!), tomato/mozzarella/basil appetizer, steak (Michael), sea bass (Meredith), creme brulee (Meredith), chocolate cake (Michael), and espresso. Cha-ching! I spilled a little bit of the champagne a couple times, pouring it, and when I did Michael insisted on saying loudly, "Cha-ching! Cha-ching!" Thanks. A. Lot. Ha! He was saying, "Every drop is like a dollar! Quit it!" Hardy har har. Tasty nonetheless, and you know, why not splurge once in a while; when else will we get to spend a month in Europe, willy nilly, with no strings? Puh-leez. I'm getting the bottle of champagne, every time.
Tomorrow we're going for a bike ride in Monet's gardens and a picnic lunch there, as well. Yes! Home in four days... :-\
